1. Go to settings —> Apps and Features —> Programs and Features —> Turn windows features on or off —> enable Windows Subsystem for Linux —> press ok —> when it prompts to restart your computer, do it, and then continue to the next step

  1. Once you have restarted your computer, go to the Microsoft Store —> Search Ubuntu —> Choose Ubuntu 20.04 —> Press get —> Press install —> Press launch —> Follow the prompts on screen to set up a username and password (they can be whatever you want them to be, just don't forget your password. When you are typing your password, no text will show up. This is a Linux security feature.)

    Once you have set up username and password and ubuntu has finished its installing, CLOSE THE WINDOW and go to the next step. If you do the next step from this window, it will cause issues later on.

Go to your documents folder (or where ever you want to put the bot) and shift-right click the blank space to pull up the menu. Then press "Open Linux Shell Here" and continue to the setup guide. Do not close the terminal, you will need it later. ON WINDOWS 11, YOU NEED TO SHIFT-RIGHT CLICK AND THEN PRESS MORE OPTIONS AT THE BOTTOM.
